Environmental Sustainability
Encouraging the Use of Websites and Mobile Apps
Across all segments of Euronet, we promote the utilization of websites and mobile apps for remittance transactions, epay transactions, and cash phone-based withdrawal transactions, while maintaining the ongoing environmental advantages of paperless transactions. Digital transactions entail significantly lower energy consumption compared to traditional approaches that involve generation of waste through manual paperwork and the utilization of fuel during in-person visits to physical locations.
Through the reduction of the necessity for in-person visits, this also reduces the need for establishing physical locations, thereby conserving additional resources that would otherwise be required to sustain operational brick-and-mortar outlets. Several instances of environmental operational approaches that each business segment has employed:

Electronic Funds Transfer Segment
ATMs situated in “cash deserts” with cash recycling, cardless withdrawal and/or merchant filling capabilities, reducing the requirement for extensive commercial banking infrastructures and plastics usage to handle fundamental financial transactions

epay Segment
Supplying digital payment and distribution methods that can adapt to meet individual service needs and circumstances: mobile-top ups, digital prepaid and gift cards, digital wallets, retail apps, gaming and websites

Money Transfer Segment
Connection through online platforms: Riamoneytransfer.com, Xe.com, Walmart2Walmart: a joint initiative with Walmart corporation, utilizing its extensive network of locations in shared settings.

Service Accessibility
Euronet is mindful and focused on ensuring the inclusive accessibility of our ATMs, POS terminals and other related products and services in today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape. Ensuring accessibility remains a major focus, with the goal of granting all individuals the opportunity to benefit from and utilize Euronet’s services, regardless of ability, geography, and economic circumstances.
As part of their commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, Euronet’s incorporated a variety of features and design elements into their ATMs. Euronet’s ATMs are compliant with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and European Accessibility Act (EAA) to ensure equal access to financial services worldwide.
- ATMs are equipped with audio guidance that assists users in navigating the screen and making selections. These instructions are provided through headphones or built-in speakers
- Key areas, buttons, and instructions on the ATM are labeled in Braille, enabling users who are blind or have visual impairments
- ATM interface is designed to be intuitive and straightforward, minimizing complex instructions and options that could confuse users with cognitive impairments and language barriers
- All text on the ATM screen is presented in clear, easy-to-read fonts to aid users with reading difficulties. ATM screens feature high-contrast text and graphics, making it easier for users with low vision to read the content
- Height and Reach: Our ATMs are designed with appropriate heights and reach ranges to accommodate users who may be seated in wheelchairs or have limited mobility. We strive to secure ample space around our ATMs to ensure easy maneuverability for wheelchair users wherever possible.
Rate Transparency
Euronet adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to ensure transparent and consistent communications and disclosures to consumers about the process and rates.
Additionally, we meet the ATM disclosure requirements put forth by card organizations such as Visa, Mastercard, and the European Union. These organizations conduct regular audits of Euronet, and it is worth noting that these audits have not revealed any significant issues or concerns.
